Ayano is a yoga teacher, tai chi teacher, Pilates trainer and massage therapist. As a bodyworker, she allows each of these modalities to influence her work with clients. Whether teaching a class or working one on one, Ayano’s attention is on whole mind body wellness for the individual. This includes mental as well physical health.
As a massage therapist, Ayano is sensitive to the effect of mental stress on the body and combines breath and movement to help the client manage mental stress. As a yoga and tai chi teacher, she encourages self-knowledge, peace of mind and joy in action. As a Pilates trainer, she emphasizes body awareness and precision of movement.
Ayano’s certifications include: ACE and YMCA Pilates reformer trainer; 200-hour registered Yoga Alliance teacher; NCBTMB certified and Saint Paul licensed massage therapist;Yang Style Lineage Tai Chi Teacher.
Among her adventures into alternate ways of being, Ayano has worked as a graphic artist, family lawyer and kindergarten teacher. She is a guitarist, singer/songwriter, and self-published author of a young adult fiction novel called “Song of the Painted Obelisk”. Her parents and two sisters live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her brother and his family live in Tokyo, Japan.
