Heather’s personal experience of the past year includes not only having to shut down her business TWICE due to COVID, moving online overnight and later reopening in a vastly different landscape, but also the deep grief and loss of losing her father to cancer. She knows she has been forever changed by the past year, but it has also been an opportunity to release a lot of what wasn’t working in the first place.
Through these once in a lifetime events she has constantly sought out her practices and come to rely on them more than ever, so she was inspired to offer this workshop (and collaborate with her dear friend and healer Helen) as a tool for others to process the events of 2020 with some breath, movement, reflection and gratitude.
Heather is the proud owner of Core Pilates and Yoga. She loves Pilates and Yoga for the wonderful things they do for the body, but she also realizes that connecting mind, body and spirit through these practices has a ripple effect through her client’s lives and can be the gateway for them to go deeper.
Like everyone this year, Helen has been in the process of pausing, letting go, grieving, and discovering new ways of being. This time of year is usually one of harvest, gratitude, celebration, and gathering together with loved ones and that probably will look really different this year.
Before jumping right to finding what we are grateful
Like everyone this year, Helen has been in the process of pausing, letting go, grieving, and discovering new ways of being. This time of year is usually one of harvest, gratitude, celebration, and gathering together with loved ones and that probably will look really different this year.
Before jumping right to finding what we are grateful for, Helen knows it’s important to also acknowledge the challenges, the struggles, and the hard things we experience being human.
In this season of 2020, she’s had to say goodbye to spaces that have closed, put on hold work that she loves, and hasn’t been able to hug her grandma since March. So she is grateful to be collaborating with Heather to bring us together (virtually!) to support each other in community (we aren’t meant to travel through life alone!) and gift ourselves time for inward reflection, releasing, and replenishing (and anything else we are ready to receive!).
Helen is an energy healing practitioner, breathwork facilitator, and an artist who enjoys celebrating the seasons, the cycles, and the transitions of life with heart-centered people. She creates sacred spaces where you can come to do your own healing work and guides you to find movement and clarity with your energy and emotions by coming back home to your body again and again.
